PURE ARCHIVAL FISH

A fish-rich history, carefully preserved

These waters have been feeding people for thousands of years. The Tlingit read the tides and built fish traps that are still visible at low tide. The Norwegians followed the salmon and built a town. The fleet brought in the catch, and the canneries packed that abundance into tins and shipped it around the world. And the Clausen Museum has been packing the stories ever since — carefully preserved, finest grade, Petersburg origin. Explore it chapter by chapter, drawn from the museum’s collection.
