Pioneer Profiles: A History of Petersburg Settlers 1898–1959 by The Pioneers of Alaska, Igloo 16 & Auxiliary 10
SOFT COVER - PHYSICAL BOOK : SHIPPING INCLUDED IN PRICE.
Petersburg wasn't built by industries — it was built by people. Norwegians, Scandinavians, and immigrants from across the world who arrived unfamiliar with the language, the land, and the weather, and stayed anyway.
Pioneer Profiles is unlike any other local history book — each chapter was written by the family it's about. It took the Pioneers of Alaska community nearly three years to compile, with settlers and their descendants submitting their own stories. Dedicated to all those who came before, it's the closest thing to sitting down with the people who built this town.
Available in the Clausen Museum Store.
