Celebrating our diverse stories - past, present and Future
The Clausen Museum preserves the stories of Petersburg and the surrounding waters — from Kah Sheets at the south end of the Wrangell Narrows, through the island passages to Cape Fanshaw in the north. From the Tlingit people who first read these tides, to the Norwegian fishermen who built a town on silver-colored salmon, to the cannery workers who packed that abundance into tins bound for the world — the community that built all of this is still here, still working the same tides. This is the town that fish built. Come find the full story at 203 Fram Street.
